The maxon motor DEC module 50/5 controller is a digital amplifier with speed controller for controlling electronically commutated (brushless) DC motors with Hall sensors up to 250 watts. The plug-in module can be seamlessly integrated into complex applications with minimum effort, allowing customers to focus all their attention on developing their own equipment.
A comprehensive motherboard design guide is provided for integration into OEM boards and a detailed evaluation board is available for the initial start-up. The module works with an operating voltage of up to 50 VDC.
With an output current of 5 A in continuous operation, its usage is both flexible and versatile but also highly efficient. The amplifier offers a large number of inputs and outputs, including enable, speed ranges, speed monitor, direction of rotation presetting, current
limiting, operating status etc., and offers comprehensive protection features. This means that, for example, overcurrent, undervoltage and overvoltage, thermal overload and short circuit are integrated to ensure that the controller can be used securely.
Constant miniaturization has produced an all-in-one amplifier with an extremely high power density of 250 watt continuous output power from a 30x40mm footprint. With its extensive protective functions, simple integration in all kinds of applications and an attractive price, the DEC module 50/5 is suitable for any drive challenge.
